Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about vibe coding, buying projects, selling on Vibe Codors, and how our marketplace works.

About Vibe Coding

You describe what you want, AI writes the code. Tools like Cursor, Claude, Bolt, v0, Replit Agent let you build real apps in hours instead of months. It's not magic - you still need to understand what you're building - but it's a massive productivity boost.
The big ones: • Cursor - AI code editor, great for full apps • Claude - the brain behind most of these tools • Bolt - build apps in your browser, instant deploys • v0 - spits out React components from descriptions • Replit Agent - builds and hosts for you • Windsurf - another AI code editor Most people use a mix depending on what they're building.
No. No-code gives you drag-and-drop blocks - you never see actual code. Vibe coding generates real code you can read, edit, and own. You need some coding knowledge to use it well. No-code is for people who can't code. Vibe coding is for people who don't want to write every line themselves.
Yeah. Lots of projects on here have paying users and real revenue. AI writes clean, modern code when you prompt it right. The quality depends on the builder - same as any development. Garbage in, garbage out.
Helps a lot. You should know: • Basic programming concepts (variables, functions, etc.) • How APIs work • Frontend vs backend difference • General web dev stuff You don't need to be a senior engineer, but you need to know enough to guide the AI and catch its mistakes.

For Buyers

Time. A project that would take you weeks is ready now. You get working code, often with users already, built on modern tech. Plus the code is yours to modify however you want.
Check: • Verified badge - we confirmed the live URL works • User count - if people are using it, it's not vaporware • Live demo - test it yourself • Seller profile - do they have other projects? Good reviews? • Description quality - vague descriptions = red flag Ask questions before buying. Request a demo call if it's expensive. Serious sellers will answer.
Depends on the listing. Could be: • Source code • GitHub repo access • Domain name • User base • Logo and design files • Documentation • Support from the seller Read the listing carefully. Ask the seller to confirm exactly what's included before you pay.
Depends on the seller. Some show previews, some don't want to share until payment. You can ask for: • Code screenshots • Architecture overview • Info about test coverage • Sample files Reasonable sellers will give you enough info to make a decision.
We're a marketplace, not a payment processor. You find a project here, then you and the seller work out payment directly - PayPal, Stripe, wire, crypto, whatever works for both of you. We don't take a cut or hold money in escrow. For bigger purchases, consider using a third-party escrow service.
Since you're paying the seller directly, we can't force refunds or mediate disputes. That said: • Report bad sellers - we'll investigate and ban them • Leave honest reviews • Agree on a support period before buying • Use escrow for expensive projects Do your homework before buying.
Ask the seller. Usually yes, but confirm: • Are the rights exclusive to you? • Can the seller keep selling similar projects? • Any restrictions? Get it in writing.

For Sellers

Nothing. Free to list, no commission on sales. We make money from optional boost features if you want more visibility.
Any software you built with AI tools: • SaaS apps • Dev tools • Web apps • Scripts/automation • Mobile apps • Browser extensions • APIs • Component libraries • Templates Has to be functional. You can list unfinished projects if you're honest about it, but finished products with users sell way better.
Think about: • Revenue - making money? Price goes up • Users - people actually using it? • How long would it take someone to build this? • What similar projects sell for Rough ranges: • Simple scripts/tools: $500-$2,500 • Small apps: $2,500-$10,000 • SaaS with users: $10,000-$50,000+ • Profitable SaaS: 2-4x annual revenue Don't underprice. Turn on "Open to Offers" if you're flexible.
• Good screenshots - show the actual product • Clear description - what it does, tech stack, what's included • Live URL - let people try it • Video walkthrough - 2-3 minutes, huge difference • Complete profile - bio, links, your other work • Respond fast - slow replies kill deals • Add all relevant tags
Don't share your full codebase publicly. You can: • Describe the architecture • Share code screenshots • Give repo access to serious buyers only • Send samples on request
We check that your live URL actually works. If it does, you get a "Verified" badge. Automatic process. Having a working demo helps sales a lot.
Mark it as sold in your dashboard. The listing stays up with a "SOLD" badge (good for your reputation) but people can't contact you about it anymore.
Yeah, anytime. Update price, add screenshots, change description, update status. Keep it current.

Pricing & Payments

We connect buyers and sellers. That's it. When someone wants to buy: 1. They message you here 2. You agree on price and terms 3. They pay you directly (PayPal, Stripe, wire, crypto, whatever) 4. You transfer the code 5. Mark it sold No platform fees.
We focus on being good at one thing: helping you find and list vibe-coded projects. Direct payments mean: • Use whatever payment method you want • No platform fees • Faster deals (no escrow delays) • Flexible terms For big purchases, use a third-party escrow if you want that protection.
Sure. Buyer and seller agree on payment method - PayPal, Stripe, wire, crypto, whatever works. Just communicate clearly about it.
That's on you. We don't process payments so we don't send tax forms. Talk to an accountant about reporting income from sales.

Trust & Safety

• We verify live URLs work • Sellers build reputation over time • Users can report sketchy listings • We review reported listings manually • Clear rules about what's allowed But payments are between you and the seller, so do your own research before buying.
Look for: ✓ Verified badge ✓ Detailed seller profile ✓ Clear project description ✓ Seller answers questions quickly ✓ Working live demo Watch out for: ✗ Pressure to pay fast ✗ Prices that seem too good ✗ Won't answer basic questions ✗ Vague about what's included
Every listing has a Report button. We review reports within 48 hours. We'll remove bad listings and ban problem users.
Hit Report, select "Copied/Stolen Content," and show us proof you own it (GitHub commits, domain records, etc.). We take IP theft seriously and will remove verified stolen listings.

Technical Questions

Most popular: • Frontend: Next.js, React, Vue, Tailwind • Backend: Node.js, Python/FastAPI, Supabase, Firebase • Database: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Supabase • Hosting: Vercel, Cloudflare, Railway, Fly.io AI tools work best with modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
This marketplace is specifically for vibe-coded (AI-built) projects. For traditionally-built projects, try Acquire.com or Flippa.
We list React Native, Flutter, PWAs, and mobile web apps. Include app store links and screenshots.
If you're selling something beyond the code itself - a business, premium features, setup services, or a hosted version with users. Be clear about what's open-source vs what the buyer gets.
Profitable SaaS usually sells for 2-4x annual revenue. In your listing, include: • MRR • Customer count • Churn rate • Revenue history • Whether the business entity transfers
Yeah. Options: • Code only • Code + domain • Full business transfer (code, domain, users, brand, accounts) • Whatever combination you want Just be clear in your listing about what's included.
